The Sky Zero Footprint Fund is back in 2025 with a bigger, bolder mission to supercharge sustainability through the power of advertising.

Sky Media has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting eco-conscious businesses, offering a total of £2 million in advertising grants to brands dedicated to driving positive environmental change.
What's new in 2025?
This year, the fund has been expanded with a new three category structure:
Disruptors: Designed for challenger brands that are scaling up with innovative ideas, this category will see nine businesses pitch live, with three receiving £200,000 each in advertising support.
Catalysts: Supporting charities and non-profits that are making a difference but struggle to demonstrate measurable impact, this category will have six organisations pitch live, with two securing £200,000 each.
Champions: Aimed at larger, established brands seeking to reinvigorate their role in sustainability, three brands will pitch live, with one winning £500,000 in advertising support.
An additional prize of £500,000 will be awarded in October to the most impactful advertisement among the winners.
Local Heroes initiative
To further extend its impact, Sky also introduced the Sky Zero Footprint Fund: Local Heroes initiative. This fund supports small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) committed to sustainability within their communities.
In early 2025, eight SMEs were awarded a £20,000 regional TV advertising campaign, along with up to £2,500 towards creative production through AdSmart from Sky.
Notable winners include:
Suma Wholefoods: A West Yorkshire-based worker cooperative specialising in sustainable food products.
Halen Môn: An Anglesey sea salt company recognised for its commitment to clean seas and minimal waste.
Impact and future outlook
Since its inception in 2021, the Sky Zero Footprint Fund has committed a total of £8 million in media value to sustainable initiatives. The 2025 expansion aims to further amplify the reach of brands and organisations that prioritise environmental sustainability. The fund continues to inspire positive behavioral change and encourage other businesses to adopt sustainable practices.
