We were honoured to be invited to be part of the team behind the UKHospitality Christmas Lunch on 13th December at Old Billingsgate, London.
One of the most anticipated events in the hospitality sector, saw 1200 senior industry representatives come together to celebrate the key accomplishments of 2022. The icy blast, snow and train strikes couldn’t keep people away from UKHospitality’s flagship annual event.
TVADSWORK were behind the event’s on-screen content and films and our Creative Director, Andrew Telling, was show-runner and ‘Voice of God’, ensuring the event ran smoothly.
The lunch was opened by UKHospitality CEO, Kate Nicholls and Steve Richards, UKHospitality Chairman and CEO of Parkdean Resorts. Addressing the crowd, Kate Nicholls said “Despite the challenges and uncertainty this year has brought for our sector, we will strive to deliver creative, innovative and dynamic solutions for our hospitality industry.”
After a 3-course meal, guests were treated to a hilarious set from award-winning comedian, writer and television host, Jimmy Carr.
Everyone dug deep and the silent auction and raffle raised an incredible £57,000. Sharing the phenomenal amount are the two nominated charities; Only a Pavement Away, who connect employers in the hospitality industry and charities working with people facing or experiencing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans, to help place them into long term, stable employment, and Licensed Trade Charity who help pubs, bar, brewery, wine and spirits people to overcome their personal challenges and reach their full potential.
An incredible team effort, the lunch was a great success and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
